Editorial submissions must adhere to the following guidelines. Before making a submission please ensure your editorial meets our requirements.
Editorial submissions MUST NOT be a press release, advertisement, sales letter, promotional copy or blatant and excessive self-promotion or hype
Editorial submissions MUST BE informative, newsworthy and share your unique expertise. Include tips, strategies, techniques, case studies, analysis, opinions and commentary. All articles need to relate and be of interest to our readers.
All Editorial submissions MUST BE accompanied by photos/images that work in with the submitted article - logos are not permitted.
Editorial submissions MUST BE finished off with a footnote providing the author’s name, business name, telephone, website contacts and a brief biography.
Authors are required to submit a professional photo of themselves. Please note: Happy snaps from your family album are NOT suitable.
EDITORIAL TEXT - Specifications
Submissions are to be received in Word document format.
Preferred font is Times New Roman 12 point.
Edit and spell check document prior to submitting.
Keep your article to approx 500 word count.
Must include a footnote with contact details and biography.
EDITORIAL IMAGE - Specifications
Editorial submissions will not be accepted without a selection of good quality images. Please adhere to the following specifications.
Logos are not acceptable as editorial images.
Images are to be attached as separate files.
Images pasted into Word documents are acceptable providing you also attach them as separate files.
Images only acceptable if saved as jpg files.
Images must be scanned at 300dpi.
Only acceptable if postcard size or larger after converted to 300dpi.
EDITORIAL COPYRIGHT
Editorial submissions are accepted on the basis that the publisher may use the author’s name, comments and content for this publication and promotional purposes including electronic, media and printed mediums. Authors waive all rights to copyrights (if any). All layout and artwork created by Canvas Mentors is the property of Canvas Marketing and must not be duplicated in another publication or promotion without written permission as it is subject to Australian copyright law.
