Carman’s founder Carolyn Creswell is living proof that you can run a successful business and still have a genuine work-life balance. Carolyn has managed to grow Carman’s to become the number one selling muesli brand on Australian supermarket shelves, while at the same time maintaining a great relationship with her husband and raising four kids under seven!
As a mother of four kids under eight, I completely understand the challenge but feel like I genuinely do live a good work-life balance. Be in the moment at work. Try to jam as much into your day as you can, so you can get away on time. Sometimes I think back to how I would behave if I were leaving the office to go overseas at 5.30pm that day. 1. Firstly, what is the start-up story behind Slim Secrets?
My background before starting Slim Secrets is quite diverse. I have an Arts/Law degree, Diploma of Education, Life/Health wellness coaching course but in fact worked for the first 15 years with my husband in his pharmacies whilst our 3 kids were young and growing up (they are now 27, 25 and 19). I also come from a very medical family (father, brother, father in-law, brother in law are all Doctors) and I have always taken an interest in health and wellness and have worked with Nutritionists at the Anti-Aging clinic I helped set up.
